Our Story...so far

Loyalist Timber Framing was founded in 1999 by Bill Beaton in order to pursue his passion for post and beam construction; having studied the craft since the late 80's.

As the demand for new timber frame construction has increased, so too have calls for older existing structures. This desire for heritage log and timber frame structures complimented Bill's interests in the new, as his approach was always to use traditional techniques.

Dismantling finely crafted buildings dating from the mid 1800's was an invaluable lesson in what stands the test of time and what does not. The better builders eschewed the convenient and easy in favour of the approach that was proper and right; and it is with this guiding principal in mind that we continue to work today.
